Sponsored by Miami Lighthouse (Social Service Organization) Maria Cecilia will be giving speeches around the nation.
The name of the lecture is “Life Without Limits”. And its objective is to reach as much people as possible with a positive. life-changing message.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
With a new technique using Braille to identify colors and using pins as guides, Maria Cecilia manages to capture true works of art that come from her imagination in oils and watercolors. Her sculptures are made in clay and ceramics.
LECTURES EXPERIENCE
Maria Cecilia has given more than 50 lectures between South America and US. Has Worked in business halls, universities and theaters. Has given her lectures for small groups of 50 people, to theaters with more than 600 people.
LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS
She dedicates her life to inspire and help people of all ages, to overcome low self esteem and depression. The objective is to reach as much people as possible with a positive life-changing message.
ABOUT OF MARIA CECILIA
Maria Cecilia Santos, Cessi, as her family and friends know her, was born in Los Angeles, CA in 1971. Since she was very young she showed great interest in painting and from the age of 12 yeras, she painted real works of art. In her youth, Maria Cecilia represented her school several times obtaining prizes as featured artist.
This talent was the reason to continue studying art at the university-level, an event changed Maria Cecilia’s life completely when she was blind. Now she shares her experience and rebirth to her new life, after overcoming critical moments that marked her life; its positivism to revert them, reminiscence and ability to reach new achiviments every day.
She graduated as a fine artist at the ‘San Francisco de Quito’ University, achieving the highest honor: SUMMA CUM LAUDE. Then she specialized in Westchester Community College of New York, earning a bachelor of applied science degree.
